Ettrian Watches Kathena Play in the Lake

Kathena Mavendorf makes her way through the woods, veering from the path slightly on her way to the cottage. The stress of talking to the troops and dealing with Ettrian is weighing heavily on her mind. "Gods my neck and shoulders are killing me. Damned elves!" she talks to herself as she nears the cottage. She walks past the front door and instead goes to the edge of the lagoon in front of the house. She looks at the serene and beautiful waterfall and the calm waters and takes in the natural beauty of the place.

She's always felt more at home outside in the open, than in a structured building. She takes a long deep breath then speaks softly to herself. "I know just what I need." She smiles happily and removes her clothing, dropping each piece on the ground without care, then jumps into the water gracefully swimming to the waterfall.

Kathena Bathing
Ettrian heard the sound of running water up ahead. The small lake, fed by a waterfall, was one of his favourite places. Under his arm were tucked some historical pages. He needed desperately to relax after the so called training with the Gypsy. He disliked her more and more and resented her presence in Calenhad.

Kathena Mavendorf: She stands in the more shallow waters near the falls and lets the water run down her long, thick locks. Her hair falling down her shoulders and over her ample bosoms as she closes her eyes and lets the water sooth her nerves. She smiles softly and begins to hum a gypsy song as she begins to dance, her body moving as fluidly as the water traveling over the stones. She is at peace with the world once more. All thoughts of the previous problems now erased as she returned to nature.

Ettrian stops short as he moves along the narrow path, the sign of the new season all but wrapping their vines about his lithe frame. He canted his head, listening to the voice. His steps quickened. thinking one of Calenhad's fair elves was enjoying the day as he had planned. He would find her and talk with her and forget the vile gypsy who haunted him.

Kathena Mavendorf: Nothing is better to Kathena than being finally alone and at peace, where she can be herself without a care in the world, or anyone to answer to. "This is heaven!" she exclaims to herself as she continues to play in the lagoon. She floats about happily relaxing, listening to the soft roar of the waterfall and the bird's songs.

Ettrian's keen senses pick up the sound of splashing water before he even gets close. He smiles to himself thinking of the fair elf just up the path.. The voice was not familiar, yet sweeter than any wine, sweeter than the voices of the Goddess.

Kathena Mavendorf softly sings songs from her homeland, in their original tongue. The song melodic and hypnotic simultaneously, dance on the air as she swims and dances in the waters.

Ettrian cants his head, the word sweet but yet unfamiliar. He nears the small lake and gazes toward the female frolicking in the warm water. She is unfamiliar to him. The voice had had a sense of familiarity but her back was to him and he could not make out who it was. He moved behind a tree and watched. Elves were not overly concerned with exposing their bodies, but he could not identify her and took precaution to heart.

Ettrian Watches
Kathena Mavendorf twirls softly in the water, turning towards the trees momentarily then returning to facing the beautiful waterfall.

Kathena Mavendorf her hair whips back and forth softly as she swings her head in a beautiful and graceful back bend and rises again.

Ettrian's eyes go wide and his face becomes even paler, frozen in fact. "It's the Gypsy," he mumbled as he tried to catch a breath of air. He pulled closer to the tree, his back pushed hard into the tree's bark. He was astonished at her beauty or was it just the shock of seeing the Gypsy unclad.

Kathena Bathing
Kathena Mavendorf dives under the water and reemerges again nearer the shore, before swimming towards the waterfall on her back. Her curves moving softly through the water. She closes her eyes and continues her soft singing unaware of Ettrian's presence.

Ettrian moves to let his eyes look beyond the tree, let his eyes fall upon the Gypsy. His eyes moved along her perfect body. His breathing became hard and it seemed she would surely hear. His body trembled and again, he turned away, pressing his back harder into the tree.

Ettrian Hides
Kathena Mavendorf moves under the falling waters letting the water fall over her body as she happily enjoys the solitude.

Ettrian considered his options and realized that to expose himself to her was absurdly dangerous. This was his moment and his alone. His thoughts ran rampant and for a brief moment he considered his feelings toward the Gypsy. "No," his said to himself. "This cannot, will not be.." He was an elf after all and had denied himself of companionship for a thousand years. And now his body raged with heat and passion - for the Gypsy.

Kathena Mavendorf dives under water and swims for shore. She emerges from the water and runs her fingers through her hair then squeezes her locks in an attempt to help it dry faster. She stands on shore taking in the sunlight on her skin, enjoying the warmth.

Ettrian: As she moves from the shadows and curtains the water seemed to provide her, his eyes were frozen. His body became rigid against the tree. The historical pages he had planned to read fell from his keeping and began too dance on the air. They floated like flowers being born one of the other. They begin to fall as the wind gave way to them and they landed on the shore and floated in the water. He swallowed hard a lump that caught in his throat and he moved around the tree as she moved closer inward.

Kathena Mavendorf watches the floating paper, flying like butterflies, land near her feet. She picks one up and looks at it, then looks up, her eyes scanning the area for someone. She narrows her eyes as she walks around softly, not caring about her exposed body. "Who's there? Come out at once!" she demands in a forceful voice

Ettrian becomes frightened knowing he has given up his secrecy in his plot to watch her. He moved quietly. He moved stealthily from tree to tree, careful to stay in the shadows, but through it all, his eyes were lost in her beauty.

Kathena Mavendorf moves with purpose through the area. A thought suddenly entered her mind and a scowl appears on her face. "Ettrian?! I swear to the gods, I will make your life a living hell if you don't come out of the shadows this instant!" she says, hoping that her gut instinct is correct.

Ettrian darts for the next tree, running as swiftly as he can. His eyes still belied his interest as his boot caught on a fallen limb causing him to spiral to the ground. He arose hastily hoping she had not seen him and was lost in the underbrush. There he knelt on one knee, gasping for breath. "What am I doing?" he asked himself. "This cannot be, she cannot be.......why her and no other? Why her?"

Kathena Mavendorf's jaw drops open as she sees the elf stumble and attempt to hide. She narrows her eyes and walks up to the brush where he is hidden and stands there with her hands on her hips, tapping her foot impatiently. "Really Ettrien? Really? Stand up already!"

Ettrian had meant to charge ahead, meant to escape notice. Yet she had found him. He rose and turned, his eyes fiery as he took in her body...so close to him.. He was speechless and knew his trickery would be the ruin of him. He managed to look to his feet, his features frozen, "it was....not....I had not intended this to happen, Kathena.  I was coming to read and that is the truth of it. But there you were and I found myself enchanted by your sweet voice and your beauty. I....I.... forgive me please?"

Kathena Mavendorf's features soften as her scowl starts to change into a grin, then a giggle escapes her lips. "Oh for gods sakes, relax! You are hardly the first man to get an eyeful. Next time, perhaps you should jump in the water instead of hiding behind trees."

Kathena Mavendorf: She walks past him without a care in the world towards her clothes and begins to dress.

Ettrian: "You are so kind," he mumbles as he watches her move away and begin to dress.

Kathena Mavendorf puts on her clothing slowly shooting a sideways glance at him as she does, studying his reactions. "Don't be embarrassed. I've lived my life on the open road. I'm not ashamed of my body, and it doesn't bother me if you chose to look." that last bit she says with a smirk on her face, knowing full well she was stretching the truth a bit just to pester him.

Ettrian nods "Then with your leave I shall depart," he says with broken words, waiting for the fire inside him to die away.

Kathena Mavendorf snickers, "As you wish Captain. Have a good night."
