The Shire

The Shire is a land of rolling hills and green fertile valleys. It is home to Halflings and big people.  The Halflings live in roomy burrows and are very active gardeners and cooks. There are often 3 Halfling vendors at Thursday market.

A barn and pasture for livestock stands near, but not too near, an Herb house and Garden.

There is a lighthouse to the Southwest. It is built or big people. It helps ships at sea, lighting their way round the rocky area at the mouth of the Longflood River.  It is refuge to all who are cast away or land upon our shores. There is an oven in the Lighthouse as well as the tavern for making good Halfling food.
There are many areas to explore in the Shire. Do come visit us.

Enjoy the famous Hobbit hospitality!

As the Halflings are fond of food and dance and drink, they have built a Gazebo on the river that will host their parties. Elevenses is a popular time for eating and dancing, teatime is also popular.

Extensive agricultural research

There is a hobbit Tavern, a mill, a large garden and an experimental nursery. The nursery is dedicated to the growth of seeds brought from the fae lands. So far, the garden has produced some wonderful vegetables, such as tomatoes, taters and a tall plant called corn.
