Drum Circle under the Blue Moon

Blue Moon over The Henge

There is something magical about the River Lands, something intrinsic that beckons you to come and visit or, yet, come and stay. Friday night Drum Circles are measurably so. It is when friends, role players and non role players gather to dance under the gentle skies that umbrella the night, caress the land and guide us ever onward toward our medieval fantasies and dreams.
Tonight was spectacular as we witnessed a Blue Moon, often referred to as  the third of four full moons in a single season. And no, the Blue Moon isn't really blue. Generally, it's the same color as any other moon unless the sky conditions are unusual and then rarely, very rarely, you might actually witness the Blue Moon.
Tonight, we talked and sang the night away as I gently tapped out the rhythm of the music on my drums and friends danced about the Henge in camaraderie.
I think it was Talia who began the singing, and one by one we joined in to sing verses of various songs involving the Blue Moon or any other moon. I think my favourite moment was when Talia took an old favourite and adapted the words - "Every druid was dancing in the moonlight, Hobbits were a delight, such an unnatural sight, demons in the moonlight."
All are welcome to join us on Friday nights at the Henge in the River Lands.
We would love YOU to experience what we experience!
