Amethyst discovers Jaek is gone

Amethyst McMahon flings open the door to the Cottage, her voice quivering as she calls out to the Druid, only to receive no response...

Amethyst McMahon rushes through the rooms, checking to make certain that Jaek is not resting... fast asleep perhaps and unable to hear her, her breath coming in short gasps as she struggles to keep her composure. Upon returning to the main room her eyes fall upon a piece of parchment lying on the desk, accompanied by a white rose.

Amethyst McMahon hurries to the desk, pushing the chair aside and seeing the Druid's script, she quickly scours the missive for confirmation of his departure.

Earlier as she was saying her goodbyes after visiting Sarah at the Farm, she crossed the Remembrance Bridge leading to the path to Calenhad and to the cottage she shares with Jaek, nestled near the water's edge. An Elven Ranger had crossed her path and politely informed her that he would be guarding her home during the absence of the elven King, according to his wishes and she had no need for worry.

She had been astounded by the information and just managed a wan smile and nod, before hurrying across the bridge and breaking into a run to reach the cottage.
Jaekob had been planning to search out the Ancient Ones, but he had not divulged further information about who they were and where he expected to find them. She had also not had the impression that he would be gone so soon. He did not seem to know where to begin his journey himself.

Amethyst McMahon sighs and runs her fingers through her long hair. Her shoulders slump and she slides heavily onto the chair, her hand stroking the petals of the rose, "What good is a rose to me, when I don't know where he is or when he will return?"

She lets her head fall onto the parchment, her lips coming to rest on his signature, signed with a flourish at the bottom of his letter and she begins to consider who she can ask about these Ancient Ones and who may be able to tell her when her Druid will return...
