Her eyes fall upon a single white wildflower and a smile lights her eyes. Cloaked in stillness, she sighs deeply as the darkness festering in the corners and crevices of these lands encircles and flows through her sensitive being and a single tear slides down her cheek.
As she imagines the havens of the beloved elves, named Calenhad in these lands, she reappears outside the castle home of Jaekob, Chief of the River Land Elves and King of the folk who dwell within these territories. She pauses for only a moment, her path undaunted and her undertaking clear, the Darkness unable to dim her aura, and her thoughts dwell on memories of her oath and duty to her Valar elders and the cherished Children of Iluvatar etched deeply into her essence...
Elbereth Elentari |
Jaekob had ventured across mountains and valleys in search of assistance and answers at the Hall of the Ancients. He had returned to his Lands after finding the Hall overgrown and his questions remained unanswered.
The Spirits of the Valar had witnessed his struggle, and the plight of his folk and their despair when once again faced with immeasurable Darkness had moved them to send a Maiar emissary with a token to allay their fears and restore their courage.
A length of cloth materializes in Elbereth's arms and she gently places it on the steps leading to the heavy wooden door of the castle, her thoughts serene, her presence surrounded with a soft glow, 'I will leave this token of Faith and Hope for the Aran. A gift and a pledge that even in these dark times, the Elves are not foresaken by the Valar.'
Elbereth Elentari retreats, her bright presence turning translucent as she radiates a wave of strengthening energy across the River Lands. 'If they stand true and loyal to one another and their allies, they will overcome the shadows and dangers that lurk within their homeland.'
With one last glance at the darkening sky, the twilight revealing the multitude of stars above, Elbereth Elentari lowers her eyes and bows her head in a sign of reverence to her forebears.
