Smeagol Gets Hungry

Smeagol Shade sits quietly at the ruins in the Shadow Lands. His legs dangle off into the black and stagnant pond. He kicks his feet a bit, splashing the water about. It made him smile; well, for Smeagol as close to a smile as he ever got.

Smeagol Shade lifted a hand up to tidy the few strands of hair he had and rose to his feet, holding Fish close to his chest. Fish's condition was quickly worsening. And Smegol was beside himself with what to do next. All his efforts at saving his friend were literally falling apart.

Smeagol Shade: "Us knows. Us knows. Us needs to find the fishy lady and get the new body and soon," he whispers holding Fish up to look him in the eyes.

Smeagol Shade: Then he rubs his flat stomach, skinny bone fingers sliding over bony ribs, "Us is hungry. Us needs to go find something to eat," and he begins to make his way toward the farm near Cheshire.

Smeagol Shade: "Us has to be careful," he whispers to Fish. "The Demonses might see Us."

Smeagol Shade watches carefully, finally making his way to the chicken house. He looks about for signs of the farmer and seeing no one moves quickly to the chicken coup, kicking almost playfully at the hens in his path.

Smeagol Shade hunkers down, animal like and pokes his arm into the coup, pushing at a hen that instinctively pecks at the intruding fingers.

Smeagol at the Henhouse

Smeagol Shade: "Stop it! Stop it! Us is hungry," and he grabs two eggs and quickly pulls his hand away, plopping one in his mouth, shell and all.

Smeagol Shade: "Us likes eggs. Us do," he mumbles, not sure whether to the hens or Fish as bits of the thick egg white dribbles on his chin.

Smeagol Shade turns to the cornfield, runs over to it snatching several ears of ripe corn and tucking them under his arm, he turns and bolts back toward his ruins.

Smeagol Shade: "Us has food. Us had food. Corn and eggs for Us today," he kind of sings to himself.

*Smeagol is not the well known character of the famed LoTR books. His story is different, yet compelling. Most of his roleplay will be solo for as he said, "Us has no friend." His story will evolve slowly. We hope you enjoy getting to know Smeagol Shade.
