Market Day in Cheshire

Every Thursday at 4:30 p.m. pdt, we have Market Day in Cheshire, the port city of the River Lands proper. Imagine, the town bustling with merchants and shoppers. Imagine the gossip you will be privy to.
Most folk lived a rural life and their needs were met by gardening, sewing their clothes. But, once a week (usually on Sundays) folks traveled to market to either sell their wares or buy the things they needed. Craftsmen generally had workshops close to the market area, which often were held at cross roads or near bridges. If you peruse the dock area of Cheshire, you will find the craftsmen hard at work; you will find the butcher, the smith, armor makers, tailors and more.

And over time the concept of markets grew. More peddlers came, minstrels came to tell their tales or sing their songs. And the town prospered. And in our case, it is THE place to hear the latest gossip.
This is an IC (in character) event. However, we welcome any who would like to come, observe or even join in the role play. Being IC, medieval attire IS required. But, we have a selection of mens and womens clothing free at our welcome area which is located on the docks of Cheshire, the arrival point for our community.

The River Lands Medieval Role play Community is a thriving community. It boasts eight regions, completed and available for role play at your leisure.  Seven more regions are under construction to include a two region mer area and an entire region dedicated to hobbits. Yes, we have hobbits. Or just drop by, stroll the lands and enjoy the wonderful ambiance.
Come visit us and see what IS possible on the Hypergrid and what a hand full of role players have accomplished on the Great Canadian Grid. Ever had a fantasy of being a healer or just a baker? Well, WE can make your fantasy come true. Experienced and non experienced role players are welcome. We have weekly classes teaching the basics of role play, role play etiquette and things like how the alignments affect a player. The classes are OOC (out of character). Everyone is welcome; come as you are, just come! We look forward to meeting the wonderful residents of the HyperGrid.
