Fit and Jaek Discuss the Cat

Fitheach Eun races up to the infirmary carrying a large old leather bound book and looking excited.

Fitheach Eun: "Aran, are you here?"

Jaekob Faolan: stands by his desk, pouring over ancient scrolls from the elven city.

Fitheach Eun: "Vedui."

Fitheach Eun looks excitedly at the Druid and waves the book.

Fitheach nd Jaekob
Jaekob Faolan: "Ah, vedui, Fit. And how are you feeling?" he asks laying the scroll on the desk and turning to her.

Fitheach Eun: "I found something in this old grimoire."

Fitheach Eun: "And I am quite recovered, thank you.

Fitheach Eun: "How are you this evening?"

Fitheach Eun hugs the book to her chest.

Jaekob Faolan: "Oh am as well as one can be considering the commotion to the northeast. And busy trying to find an answer to help the Cat."

Fitheach Eun: "Well I may have something; you remember that my family are all mages? That's why I ran away."

Jaekob Faolan nods, "I do recall you speaking of it, yes," he says as his eyes dart to the book she is carrying.

Fitheach Eun carries the book to the desk and sets it down carefully, opening it.

Jaekob Faolan watches her and then steps closer.

Fitheach Eun: "This is a very old grimoire that belonged to my great aunt."

Fitheach Eun: "And this potion here on this page is called  a stasis potion."

Jaekob Faolan nods, his eyes steady on the book, "And why do you bring it here hmmm?"

Fitheach Eun: "If I read it correctly; it will make something ummm preserved? It will stay as it is currently and not change for good or bad."

Fitheach Eun: "I wonder if it would help the cat?"

Jaekob Faolan runs a hand through his hair and bites his lip, "But, you are not a Mage and the ingredients surely would be hard to find, eh?"

Fitheach Eun: "I am no mage indeed, but we have some here now do we not?"

Fitheach Eun: "And the ingredients do not seem too fantastic."

Jaekob and Fitheach Look at the Book
Fitheach Eun: "Amber

Jaekob Faolan nods, "I would task you to speak with Gabriel before you begin this endeavor. I would want to be sure we are not doing something dangerous."

Fitheach Eun: "Cobweb."

Fitheach Eun: "Unicorn Horn."

Fitheach Eun: "Mandrake."

Fitheach Eun: "Sage grass."

Fitheach Eun: "I will seek him out and see what he thinks."

Jaekob Faolan leans over looking at the book and nods, "Yes, I imagine all of that can be found in our lands."

Fitheach Eun: "I would think so."

Jaekob Faolan: "Then you will make arrangements to travel to the Citadel soon hmmmm?"

Fitheach Eun: "I will search out Gabriel and give him the information as soon as possible."

Fitheach Eun: "Let's hope it really does work even if it is only for  short time."

Jaekob Faolan: "Most excellent. I know he is still training, but he might have some insight. Making something we are unfamilar with worries me."

Fitheach Eun: "Yes and the writing is old and not very clear; I would hate to make a mistake."

Jaekob Faolan nods, "Aye, we might do the cat more harm than good."

Fitheach Eun: "I will report back after I see our mages."

Fitheach Eun: "Still it is some hope."

Jaekob Faolan nods and smiles, "Fit be safe, be careful. There are rumors of Drow becoming active in our lands yet again."

Fitheach Eun picks up the book and turns to go; stopping at the Druid's words.

Fitheach
Jaekob Faolan: "Aye, the most promising thing I had heard yet. If we can only sustain him until we find the collar."

Fitheach Eun: "Drow?"

Fitheach Eun: "Not that Ryn again? Surely he is gome with the demon?"

Fitheach Eun: "You said the Drowess was likely involved?"

Jaekob Faolan: "I have seen none, nor heard of anyone who has. But, Saphira senses something wrong to the northeast, something evil perhaps. I would just like us to be wary. And after your encounter with the Unseelie and the message you delivered me, it sounds like the Drowess Arianna."

Fitheach Eun sighs deeply: "Let us hope it is not really her; it was never really clear how she and the demon were involved."

Jaekob Faolan: "Yes, let us hope..." he says chewing on his lip, having not doubt at all."

Fitheach Eun: "And I will be alert for any sightings or traces Aran."

Fitheach Eun: "I wish you a pleasant evening; namaarie."

Jaekob Faolan: "Good and if you wish take a couple of the Elven rangers. Namaarie my dear friend. And thank you."

Jaekob Faolan watches her go and heaves a deep sigh.

Jaek and Ame get serious

Amethyst McMahon smiles as she lets her gaze sweep the reflections of the setting sun shimmering on the water and wanders across the sweetly smelling meadow to sink down against the log the Druid is resting against. His eyes are closed, so she leans in to softly brush a kiss across his lips.

Jaekob: A smile curls onto his lips as he realizes she is there and slips out of reverie, "Ah, Ame my love, come to join me hmmm? This is my favourite time of the day I think... when the lands begin to quieten... the people and the animals prepare for a night of rest."

Amethyst McMahon sits back, regarding him silently for a moment, before smiling again and returning his greeting, "Hello Druid, you looked so peaceful resting here as I came, but now that I look closer..." she pauses and sighs, "...whatever is the matter now? You have been absent and brooding for days!"

Jaekob Faolan: " Brooding?" he forces a laugh. "I would not call it brooding. More, I am contemplating the past few days. I worry for my friend the Cat and then Fit was injured..."

Amethyst McMahon takes his hand gently, but her voice is impatient, "Yes, yes, I know you are feeling guilty about Fit, but she is recovering quite well now... and the Cat is holding on too. At least I can bring you some very good news on that front. I just returned from visiting with Audrey and Gabriel and both are well pleased. Since you left the Cat with them it has been listless and mostly unsettled. They were quite worried, especially when the rejuvenation potion that Gabriel brewed was not quite a success at first," she pauses and smiles, ".. until Audrey came upon the idea of adding a tinge of catnip to the liquid and your feline friend was then quite willing to lap it up! The Cat is now resting peacefully most of the day, although it is still weakening... but its decline has slowed noticeably."

Jaekob Faolan me nods and begins to chew on his lip, "Aye Fit will be fine. But, I wonder for the Cat. There seems to be nothing..... well nothing is working. And, frankly I am running out of ideas," he says softly, not mentioning he is ready to storm the Underdark and take the collar himself.

Amethyst McMahon nods and gazes at him searchingly, "... but you are not telling me everything, my love. What is amiss in the Lands. If you refuse to tell me, I'll only hear it from Audrey or Alice from the Sword and Shield Tavern on the morrow."

Jaekob Faolan: "Aye, there is more. But, I am remiss to tell you and yet, I know I must. I have reason to believe the dark Drowess has returned and that the Underdark is ripe with plans to cause our lands harm yet again." Then he looks at her seriously, "Would you consider a trip....." and his words falter as she interrupts.

Amethyst McMahon widens her eyes and looks at him startled, before her raised voice causes a curious squirrel nearby to scuttle for cover, "Oh no you don't, Druid. Not again! I will be going precisely no where, not without reason... well, not at all to be exact! Now tell me what is going on or I will continue to let my burgeoning anger grow - and you know that you would rather that did not happen!"

Jaekob Faolan: "When Fit visited the Unseelie, she brought back a message for me, a message that I know to be from Arianna. I am sure she has the collar now and plans to use it to advantage. And more, I believe she and the Unseelie, despite their differences, will unite in this campaign against me and the lands."

Amethyst McMahon straightens her shoulders, kneeling beside Jaekob and cupping his face with her hands, her voice softened, "Jaekob Faolan, do not send me away. You underestimate how much I know of what occurs in these Lands. I have feared for some time the return of the Drowess. She will not stop until she has destroyed you and all you love. I have seen your Elven Guard hovering around our home, I know that Tangles BarkFellow and other Rangers are constantly on border patrol, that Fit did not scratch herself on a kitchen knife at home, that the number of guards has rapidly risen in the campground outside the Citadel and that your journey to the neighbouring Elven Kingdom nearly ended in tragedy, but for Saphira."
Amethyst McMahon takes a deep breath and continues, her voice quivering, "If you truly fear for me at some point, then I will not cause you more distress, but I can just as well go and stay behind the thick walls of the Citadel with Alice, Gabriel and Audrey, as I suppose you would send all the unarmed citizens of the Lands there in a time of dire need. I could be of help to them then and perhaps my presence would calm many a fearful soul."

Jaekob Faolan nods and turns to gaze into her eyes, "I merely want to protect you from harm. If they can't get to me.... they will try to get to the people I love."

Amethyst McMahon gives him a shaky smile and takes his hand, leading him back towards their cottage, her eyes sweeping the view of the Citadel throning in the distance, dark clouds gathering menacingly on the horizon, before quickly looking away and blinking to hold back the welling tears...

Jaek Gets a Message From the Past

Fiesty Lotus comes into the infirmary.

Fiesty Lotus: How you doin Sister Fit?

Fitheach Eun sits up in bed feeling much better,

Fiesty Lotus smiles, "You do look rested."

Fitheach Eun: "I feel fine really...I need to get that message to Jaek; I think it may be important."

Fiesty Lotus: "I called the Master to come down here. He should be here any minute."

Fitheach Eun: "Oh good; I have been worrying about it."

Fiesty Lotus bustles about feeling Fits head and taking her pulse.

Fiesty Lotus: "You do seem right recovered Druid Fit."

Fitheach Eun looks impatient but appreciates Fiesty's care.

Fiesty Lotus: "I believe you kin get up now."

Fitheach Eun: "Lovely."

Jaekob Faolan steps into the infirmary, knocking the dirt from his boots as he enters. "Ah, Fit, you look much better than last eve," and he looks over to nod at Fiesty, "Vedui."

Fitheach Eun stands up slowly but does not feel dizzy.

Fiesty Lotus: G"reetins Master Druid."

Fitheach Eun: "Vedui. Master Druid."

Fitheach Eun: "I feel very much better."

Jaekob Faolan: "Greetings to the both of you," he says softly. "Are you sure you should be up hmmm?"

Fitheach Eun crosses my arms and looks stubborn; " I do feel quite recovered."

In the Infirmary......
Fiesty Lotus: "She is fit as a fiddle- her elven blood be strong."

Jaekob Faolan chuckles and offers her a small vial, "A potion I made to help with the poison hmmmm? Just in case."

Fitheach Eun takes the vial and smiles at the druid: " Thank you"

Fitheach Eun: "I did get to talk with the fae, Aran."

Jaekob Faolan raises a brow, "You found her then? Tell me what..... well.... will she take a ransom for the collar?"

Fitheach Eun: "I asked her about ransom before things ummm deteriorated...I told her it was a family heirloom. but, she did not believe me."

Fiesty Lotus: "Well, it was, in a way."

Jaekob Faolan nods, "Well certainly she would have no way of knowing differently hmm? What did she say?"

Fitheach Eun: "I thought it had the ring of truth ..."

Fitheach Eun: "Well after she threw the dagger at me,  she told me to take a message to you."

Jaekob Faolan looks at her, his features not changing, "And that is how you came to be injured? poisoned? And what was this... message?"

Fitheach Eun: "It is a strange message, Aran..."

Fitheach Eun: "Yes the dagger was undoubtedly poisoned; the wound was very slight."

Fitheach Eun: the message was: "Tell him, he shall find what he seeks where it all began."

Jaekob Faolan looks at her his face, impassive, unreadable, but he swallows hard and shifts to cant his eyes toward the northeast. "THAT is what the Unseelie said?"

Fiesty Lotus watches the Master Druid quietly.

Fitheach Eun is puzzled by the depth of the reaction and watches the druid closely: "Those were her exact words Aran."

Jaekob Faolan nods and turns his gaze back to them, looking from one to the other, "Then evil is at our door yet again, my Druid sisters. That message came from the mouth of the Drowess Arianna and I have no doubt SHE has the collar."

Fitheach Eun looks visibly startled; " Not her again..."

Fiesty Lotus: "Oh Dear."

Jaekob Faolan nods, "It would seem she is not through with me yet and now I must find a way to retrieve the collar from my worst nightmare. And, frankly, short of storming the Underdark, I have no idea."

Fitheach Eun: "Well that puts a different complexion on things...A single dark Fae is one thing, but the drowess...."

Jaekob Faolan: "And if the Drowess has the collar, no doubt the two have made some manner of evil pact..."

Fiesty Lotus: "I am gonna batten down the Shire and put folks on alert."

Fitheach Eun looks narrowly at the druid: " Tell me you are not thinking of storming that place alone?"

Jaekob Faolan: "Good idea, Fiesty. And please tell Tangles we will need him to patrol the northern borders with the rangers."

Fiesty Lotus: "Yes, I shall."

Jaekob Faolan bites his lip and chuckles, "Tell me you didn't go to Mirkwood ALONE, Fit..."

Fiesty Lotus: "Nonsense Sister Fit- we will go as a force if we need to."

Fitheach Eun smiles; " Fiesty was with me."

Fiesty Lotus looks at her feet.

Jaekob Faolan: "After the fact hmmm? As Saphira was with me after the fact, but that did not seem to impress you when you chastised me."

Fitheach Eun giggles in spite of the tension.

Fitheach Eun sighs; " Ok you have me there; but please do not attempt this thing alone."

Fiesty Lotus: "Let's jest let bygone be bygone, and agree to work together."

Jaekob Faolan: "That is not my intent. First, I will send someone to scout the areas as I sent Saphira to the Underdark. I want to know what we have to look forward to before I make any pilgrimages anywhere."

Fiesty Lotus nods.

Fitheach Eun nods, too. "That is reasonable."

Jaekob Faolan: "Do you need.... well, if everything her is settled enough, I need to journey to Calenhad and speak with the Elven Council."

Fitheach Eun: "I have no more news for you."

Jaekob Faolan: "Then with your leaves, I shall away and get the rangers on the borders. Namaarie my friends."

Can Searches for Fit

Can Wobbit: "I´m worried, Master Druid."

Jaekob Faolan digs the tip of his boot into the soft dirt and looks at his friend, "Worried, Can? What worries you?"

Can Wobbit: "I have been searching for Fit all over Taibreamh all morning...."

Can Wobbit: "...and could not find her , and she did not leave any message."

Can Wobbit: "So I searched here by the farm."

Jaekob Faolan: "That is odd. Perhaps, in Calenhad or helping someone at the infirmary in Cheshire?

Can Wobbit: "It is not her way, to leave without letting me know where and why she would go on some errand."

Can Wobbit: "So I hoped to get some news from you."

Can Wobbit
Jaekob Faolan nods, "No, I suppose not. I would check the infirmaries and see if she is aiding someone hmmm?"

Can Wobbit: "The only place I have not checked now is the infirmary in Cheshire."

Can Wobbit: "I will try there ..."

Jaekob Faolan: "Look there then and if she does not show up soon, I will have my rangers search for her," he says beginning to chew on his lip.

Can Wobbit: "Thank you very much , Master Druid. But, I still hope to find her safe and sound."

Jaekob Faolan: "Ah, my friend. I was little help. But, am sure she is fine, just tasked with some duty," he says remembering he had talked with her about going to Mirkwood in search of the Unseelie and shifts nervously.

Can Wobbit looks at you a bit concerned.

Jaekob Faolan: "If....if.... you do not find her, do let me know hmmm?

Can Wobbit: "I will go now , and seek for her ... I´m still worried."

Can Wobbit: "Have a nice day, Jaekob."

Jaekob Faolan: "Namaarie my friend."

Meanwhile at the infirmary....

Can Wobbit runs up to the infirmary,  following the master Druids suggestion, that she might be there helping someone and knocks at the door ... still panting from the long run .... and hopes for a response from inside.
He knocks again after a few seconds.. louder, and more urgently, and waits again. But there´s no answer.
So he steps to the window, putting both hands on the glass to have a better look inside ... and his heart misses a beat, nearly stops beating at all ..  he dashes back to the door, pushes it open, and makes a run into the room.
Then he slows down, and approaches the bed, his eyes fixed on the woman laying there motionless.
"My heart," he whispers ... and then the words leave him.

Can steps close, and puts his right palm on her forehead, and laces his left hands fingers in hers ... "Thanks to the Goddess," he mutters with a breath of deep relief.
"She is alive !!!!"
"What happened to you, my dear," he softly asks and bends down kissing her forehead. He felt the warmth of a living skin on his lips and again his heart took up hope and relief again.
He did not really hope for an answer, but was just more than glad to have found her alive.

Can takes a long and solemn look at Fit´s face, pale and worn out; but there also was a sheen of peace on it. He took a tear from his eye on his fingertip, and put it on her lips .... and ... there was a faint movement in her face.
"I must find the Druid," he whispers in excitement "and ask him for help, he does not seem to know about you laying here ... I must find him at once !!!"

"I will come back as soon as I have found him, my heart." and with these words, he unlaces his fingers, and strokes her cheek gently, kissing her forehead again.
" I will be back, and watch on your side."
Can steps back to the door, keeping his eyes on the beloved woman, and finally turns round, running, running for the Druid.

A little later.....

Jaekob Faolan turns around to see Can returned, "Vedui, my friend. Any luck finding Fit?"

Can Wobbit: "Oh, Master Druid! Come quick!!"

Can Wobbit: "She´s lying in the infirmary ... and she seems to be hurt..."

Jaekob Faolan raises a brow, "In the infirmary? What? I will follow you."

Can Wobbit: "She is alive, as far as I can tell .. but does seem to be in a deep swoon or sleep."

Can Wobbit: "That´s why I came here, Master Druid."

Jaekob Faolan  "Then let us go there right aways," he says and quickly rushes past Can, headed for the infirmary in Cheshire.

Can Wobbit turns around heading for Cheshire.

Jaekob Faolan rushes into the infirmary and stops short seeing her, his face impassive, "What the...." and he rushes to her side.

Can Wobbit follows Jaekob into the infirmary.

Can Wobbit steps to the other side of the bed. He takes Fit's hand and looks at the Druid.

Jaekob Faolan: "Fit, Fit," he says softly kneeling down beside her bed, immediately examining the bandages on her arm. "This is Fiesty's doing. I recognize the wrapping." And he slowly begins to unwrap the bandage as Fit lays there apparently unconscious.

Can Wobbit watches anxiously.

Jaekob Faolan: "By the Ghods....," he whispers as he sees the wound, red and infected.

Can Wobbit: "this wound looks serious, I can tell, even I´m no healer or Druid

Jaekob Faolan nods, his eyes cutting to Can, "The wound itself is small, but it seems the blade that struck her was dipped in some type of poison. I suspect it was spider venom from the spiders in Mirkwood."

Can Wobbit: " And it does not look like a normal cut .. I remember the sting in my leg, from the spiders in Underdark."

Can Wobbit:  "Thanks to Fit , she cured it."

Can Wobbit looks at Jaekob.

Can Wobbit: "You can help her, can't you ?"

Jaekob Faolan nods and smiles, looking from one to the other, "She did that my friend and we will cure Fit. She is in a heavy sleep but whatever Fiesty did slowed the poison and she will be fine, I promise."

Jaek and Can with Fit (NPC Fit)
Can Wobbit takes a deep breath, "That´s the best news I ever heard in my life, Master Druid."

Jaekob Faolan gently wraps the bandage over the wound, "I will gather the necessary ingredients for an antidote and give it to her. She will probably be bedridden a couple of days, but she will be fine."

Can Wobbit smiles faintly, but full of hope.

Jaekob Faolan: "Elves are generally immune to most poisons. Surely had she been human, it would have taken its toll, killed her. But her elven blood is fighting it off."

Can Wobbit smiles again.

Jaekob Faolan: "Sit with her my friend, and let me gather the things I need for the potion. I will return later with it and she should be up and about on the morrow."

Can Wobbit: "I will stay by her side, and be here, when she wakes, if I get your leave, Master Druid ?"

Jaekob Faolan: "You do not need my leave to be here. Stay as long as you wish and if she awakens, let her know I am working on an antidote."

Can Wobbit: "I will."

Jaekob Faolan smiles down at Fit and rises to leave.

Jaekob Faolan: "Namaarie, my friend. I will return as soon as I can."

Can Wobbit sits down by Fits side, watching her and holding her hand.

Can Wobbit: Save Paths , my friend

Kathena Rages at Jaekob

Kathena Mavendorf makes her way to the infirmary, to check on Fit when she notices Jaek by the well.

Jaekob Faolan stands at the well, dipping a cupped hand into the cool water. He lifts it slowly, letting the liquid flow into his mouth.

Kathena Mavendorf with a very serious and displeased look on her face she greets her old friend. "Good to see you still live, Jaekob."

Jaekob Faolan turns to greet her, his face a bit impassive, "Ah Kathena, vedui. It is good to see you as well my old friend."

Kathena Mavendorf narrows her eyes a bit looking his face over trying to read him. "I need to give you something." With that she takes out her dagger and stabs it into the pole next to him.

Kathena Drives the Dagger into the Well Frame
Jaekob Faolan startles as his eyes widen, but he freezes in place a moment, following her hand, the dagger as it hits the frame of the well. He growls a bit, "A dagger for me hmmm."

Kathena Mavendorf with a completely serious look on her face she forces a smirk. "I figured if you are going to continue to try to kill yourself, you might as well have something sharp to do it with. Might speed things up."

Jaekob Faolan: "And you care ... why hmmm? Since the incidents with the Demon, you have hidden yourself from me and everyone. You seem to be.... well...." and he jerks the dagger out of the wooden post and with a quick flip offers the handle to her. "Save it for when.... you need it," he growls.

Kathena Mavendorf her face begins to show her building anger as her cheeks flush. "I seem to be, what exactly? Is it wrong for me to get away from people after all....after....the demon blood is in me."

Kathena Mavendorf snatches the dagger and puts it in her belt.

Jaekob Faolan reaches out to grab her arm and moves toward the infirmary.

Kathena Mavendorf follows him as his hand firmly pulls her away.

Kathena Mavendorf: "What is it Jaekob? Afraid someone might hear about my.....darkness?"

Jaekob Faolan all but drags her into the infirmary and as he reaches Fit's bed, he pushes Kathena toward it, "See that? See Fit? She did her job, she went to Mirkwood to do just what I did. That's what we do," he growls. "That's what we do instead of cowering somewhere with excuses.

Kathena Mavendorf trips from the push almost falling on top of Fit. She regains her footing and turns facing him. In hearing his words, she, without thinking raises her hand and slaps him across the face loudly. "How DARE you?!"

Jaekob Faolan growls at the sting of her hand on his cheek and quickly rubs it, "How dare me?" he asks closing the distance to stand mere feet from her. "I have kept my quiet and let you mood and brood over what was done to you. How dare you come to me and chastise me for doing what needs doing? I would give my life for these lands and its people. And if I am of a mind to go to Mirkwood or wherever evil rears its ugly head, that is what I will do. Do you understand me?"

Kathena Mavendorf shakes her head and looks at him with angry tears forming in her eyes. "Mood and brood? Is that what you think I've been doing?" takes a deep breath trying to steady herself.

Kathena and Jaekob
Kathena Mavendorf: "I have kept you and everyone away so as not to taint your lovely lands with my...."

Kathena Mavendorf swallows hard, "They need you ALIVE, more than anything. Being reckless is not going to help them."

Jaekob Faolan reaches out as if to touch her arm, "Kathena you are my dearest friend and we have gone to hell and back together. The demons changed us and, perhaps, not for the good. Whether your blood is tainted with demon blood or anything else has .....has....never mattered to me. Can't.....can't you know that?" he asks turning from her and beginning to pace.

Kathena Mavendorf drops her head almost shamefully as tears escape her and trail down her cheeks.  "Jaekob, there is no way to explain to you or anyone what I....how it...." sighs. "It really is for the best to keep my distance, but this is NOT about me!"

Jaekob Faolan turns to face her, his face empty of emotion, "What is happening is these lands is about all of us, Kathena. There is talk of some kind of...well.... something.... brooding in the Underdark. I fear, things are about to take a change for the worse..... that evil is about to come knocking at our doors. And I cannot be idle when is in my power to do something."

Kathena Mavendorf eyes look up at him the moment she hears of the Underdark. A look of fear reflected on her face. "Is....are they, back?"

Jaekob Faolan swallows hard, "Honestly, I do not know. But...... I fear so. Until a trip is made there, there is no.... way of knowing with certainty. Or until they reveal themselves."

Kathena Mavendorf the color fades from her face as the chill of fear takes over her body. She trembles slightly at the thought. She mumbles softly, "Is that why the nightmares haven't gone?"

Jaekob Faolan: "Nightmares? You still.... have nightmares?" he asks his face softening a bit to show concern.

Kathena Mavendorf swallows hard and nods slightly. "He....he makes me hurt you."

Jaekob Faolan: "In....in... your nightmares? The demon does this?"

Kathena Mavendorf pushes tears back trying to look stronger than she feels. "It's only a matter of time, until I do it when I'm awake."

Jaekob Faolan steps closer to her, touching her arm with his hands, "That will not happen, I promise. They.... the nightmares... are not real. The Demon was vanquished and exists no more. Of that, I am certain."

Kathena Mavendorf looks frozen when he touches her arm, almost as if she was afraid to be that close. "How can you possibly know what I would be capable of?" she pauses and looks around worriedly. "I....shouldn't have come. I shouldn't be here."

Jaekob Faolan lets go her arm and simply nods, "These lands are your home and you should be here, my dear. But, I will not make the mistake I made before and bring you or any other into the fray against this evil if I can help it. I learned my lesson and will not lose another friend because of my actions."

Kathena Mavendorf looks panicked. "Jaekob don't go into the Underdark. Nothing good will come of it! Please, promise me. Please!"

Jaekob Faolan shakes his head, strands of red hair falling into his face, "I cannot make a promise I doubt I can keep, Kathena."

Kathena Mavendorf throws her hands up in the air and paces. "Why can't you learn?! Jaekob you are too important to these lands and your people! Without you, they will not survive!"

Jaekob Faolan: "And who am I to send in my stead hmmm? I sent Fit to Mirkwood and look what happened," he says, waving a hand toward her,

Jaekob Faolan: "I am a Master Druid, the most capable of going."

Kathena Mavendorf locks her eyes defiantly on his. "You send disposable people! You send those of us that with our deaths would benefit the rest. You let our deaths help you get closer to your goal."

Jaekob Faolan growls and clenches his fist, "Don't you realize that no one is disposable to me? Don't you know that of me by now, Kathena?"

Kathena Mavendorf: "You don't send a force for good into the darkness of an evil place Jaekob! You must send a snake, that would not be distinguished from the others."

Jaekob Faolan: "Well, I am fresh out of snakes, Kathena. I get to go by default."

Jaekob Faolan: "But, this is all.... pointless. I have no plans to go to the Underdark. I still have to deal with the Unseelie to the West.

Kathena Mavendorf clenches her fists and look infuriated. "I sincerely hope you come to your senses! There are those here that are as dark as their shadows. Perhaps one day you will realize that you should use that to your advantage. Nothing is gained by dimming your light. It only helps them spread their darkness."

Kathena
Jaekob Faolan shakes his head, "This argument is pointless, I tell you. I have no plans of going anywhere. And I cannot undo that I went to Mirkwood. Nor that I sent Fit and caused her hurt. Rest assured, I will only do what proves to be the most effective if I have to take action to the West or on the borders in the Shadow Lands."

Kathena Mavendorf sighs deeply. "No matter! You won't listen to me, in any case. Do what you must, then! You know where I am hidden if you need me. Just remember to approach with caution."

Kathena Mavendorf walks closer to him and looks him directly in his eyes. "I wish you the best in this and all endeavors my friend. Safe paths."

Jaekob Faolan nods, "I will come as a friend, but not if I am in need. I will never put you in the place I put your before and risk further harm to you. Namaarie, Kathena," he says, his eyes saddening.

Kathena Mavendorf nods and walks away

Fiesty Heals Fitheach

Fitheach Eun crawls up onto the dock; the fire in her arm burning wildly.

Fiesty Lotus tries to help Druid Fit - growing more concerned.

Fiesty Lotus: "That wern't jest a dagger cut."

Fitheach Eun: "I think I should lie down...it must have been poisoned."

Fiesty Lotus nods.

Fiesty Lotus: "We will get you ter the infirmary and call the Master Druid."

Fitheach Eun staggers off in the direction of the infirmary and runs into the wall.

Fiesty Lotus:grabs Fit and tries to steer her. .

Fitheach Eun: "Fiesty, my Sister; I think I need some help..."

Fiesty Lotus yells at some lounging hobbits nearby.

Fiesty Lotus: "Get yer  legs inter gear and help the lady!"

Fitheach Eun drops onto the infirmary bed; the world swimming around her.

Fitheach and Fiesty in the Infirmary
Fiesty Lotus looks at the wound and shudders.

Fiesty Lotus mutters to herself,  "It be in her bloodstream, too late fer easy measures."

Fiesty Lotus washes the wound and begins to chant to the earth.

Fitheach Eun moans and moves restlessly on the bed.

Fiesty Lotus: "Earth  sister , give me strength ter fight this poison."

Fiesty Lotus: "Strengthen her blood and cleanse the taint."

Fitheach Eun's whole body burns as she feels the poison moving through her veins.

Fiesty Lotus calls on water.

Fiesty Lotus: "Sister water flow through her veins and lessen the taint."

Fitheach Eun feels a slow cooling sensation.

Fiesty Lotus: considers the wound , muttering chants to water and earth

Fitheach Eun: The burning feeling grows less.

Fiesty Lotus: "Heal this your Druid and help her in her pain."

Fitheach Eun feels the tension draining slowly as the fire dies down.

Fiesty Lotus sees the swelling abate and rushes to make a healing tea.

Fitheach Eun opens her eyes and gazes about the room....: " How did I get here?"

Fiesty Heals Fitheach
Fiesty Lotus: "Hmm - willow  bark and lavender , maybe a little poppy seed."

Fiesty Lotus looks up, "Oh Sister."

Fiesty Lotus: "Yer don't remember?"

Fitheach Eun  hears Fiesty's voice and smiles.

Fiesty Lotus: "How you feelin?"

Fitheach Eun smiles weakly: "I think I am all right; but how did I get back here..?"

Fiesty Lotus: "You walked - mostly. We took the sailboat back."

Fiesty Lotus:  "I was already there - reconin."

Fitheach Eun: "I am glad you were there, my sister."

Fiesty Lotus: "And then I saw you."

Fiesty Lotus: "I also saw...."

Fitheach Eun: "That fae had poison on her dagger; no wonder she laughed."

Fiesty Lotus: "I think you maybe need a bit of rest and I am gonna find the Master ter check you."

Fitheach Eun tries to rise; "I must take the message to the Druid..."

Fiesty Lotus: "No- I will get him here."

Fitheach Eun collapses back on the bed weakly.

Fiesty Lotus:  "You just stay fer awhile."

Fitheach Eun: "That is probably better; I seem not ready to move about yet."

Fiesty Lotus:  "Let me go see to that."

Fitheach Eun: "Thank you, my sister."

Fiesty Lotus carefully applies salve and bandages the wound.

Fiesty Lotus pulls a coverlet over Druid Fit and rushes off to find the Druid Master.

Fitheach Eun lies back more comfortably.
Fiesty Lotus: I will be right back with him Sister Fit

Fitheach Travels to Mirkwood to Meet with Windy

Fitheach Eun drags the small sailboat up onto the narrow strip of land in Mirkwood and looks about with dismay.

Fitheach Eun: The forest looks dark and foreboding though small flashes of light can be seen off to the left.

Fitheach in Mirkwood
Windy Ravenfeather flies about the forest checking on her spiders. "Don't worry my friends. You shall be avenged" she growls low as she makes her way through the darkness.

Fitheach Eun considers whether to ask the elf king's permission as the druid had but worries that they might know her family and that would not be a good thing.

Windy Ravenfeather lands on one of her dear spiders. "Will you help me? I would like some of your venom. I will use it against those that hurt your kin."

Fitheach Eun: Drawing her sword, she pushes carefully into the undergrowth; hoping she would be able to deliver the druid's message to the dark Fae.

Windy Ravenfeather lowers a flask and fills it with venom. Before closing it, she pours some on her dagger with a wicked grin on her face. "All but a scratch should make them suffer enough."

Fitheach Eun: Avoiding the bridge with its eleven guards; Fit climbs the mountains slowly looking for a path of some kind.

Windy Ravenfeather takes off the ground again placing her dagger on her belt and continuing her patrols.

Fitheach Eun finds a path at last but the way is obscured by a heavy mist.

Fitheach Eun: She advances slowly through the mist all senses alert for any sound or movement.

Windy Ravenfeather hears her spiders begin to move towards a specific area, so she follows. "What did you see my pretties?" she whispers as she flies quietly.

Windy and her Spiders
Fitheach Eun: The path leads downward, which seems dangerous and she looks for an alternate route.

Fitheach Eun: Backtracking slightly she climbs a ridge and sees a treehouse below her; "I wonder if that could be the fae's house," she muses.

Fitheach Eun approaches the house from the rear carefully, noticing at least one spider below.

Windy Ravenfeather follows her spiders as they move ever closer to her house. She smirks, "Oh I think we have a visitor for us to play with" She rushes towards her house."

Windy Ravenfeather narrows the distance and hides in the trees to get a better look.

Fitheach Eun stands and studies the scene carefully.

Windy Ravenfeather motions to her spiders. "Surround her and do not let her move."

Windy Ravenfeather the spiders do as she commands moving silently from various directions to the female elf trespasser.

Fitheach Eun hears a rustling in the leaves and backs up slightly.

Fitheach Eun: Spiders approach from all sides but behind her where the cliff drops off steeply.

Windy Ravenfeather flies out from the tree line getting closer to her prey. "Who are you and what makes you think you can travel through my lands?"

Fitheach Eun watches them carefully and then hears a new sound.

Windy and Fitheach
Fitheach Eun looks at the Fae who has appeared suddenly; " I was not aware this was anyone's land."

Fitheach Eun: "Who are you?"

Windy Ravenfeather narrows her eyes studying the woman before her. She notices the many weapons she carries. "I asked you FIRST. It seems to me you are not a common traveler."

Fitheach Eun considers the creature coldly: " I am an elf if that makes me uncommon; though I thought there were many here."

Fitheach Eun: "And I bring a message from the Aran of the River Lands for a certain Unseelie Fae"

Fitheach Eun: "Perhaps you are she?"

Windy Ravenfeather narrows her eyes with a growing glow in them from her temper. "You carry a large amount of weapons, and they are not from the Woodland Realm."

Fiesty Lotus: The leopard  comes close to the speakers.

Fiesty Lotus: She sees the people talking.

Windy Ravenfeather the large spiders continue to gather in the area, some keeping an eye on the cat.

Fitheach Eun: "A bow and sword is hardly a large amount for a traveler."

Windy Ravenfeather: "I am in fact an Unseelie Fae. Who is this Aran you speak of?"

Fitheach Eun tilts my head questioningly: " But perhaps you are not the one I seek, but just an underling."

Fitheach Eun: "The Aran is the ruler of the River Lands and the Master Druid. He told me to seek the one that had the collar from a kidnapped cat."

Windy Ravenfeather's face turns menacing as her sharp little teeth peek out from her taught lips. A low growl emanating from within. "You dare come into my lands and insult me?! Perhaps my pets will teach you some manners!"

Fiesty Lotus: The leopard looks to the spiders and grows deep in her throat.

Fiesty shifted into Leopard
A note: Druids are able to shapeshift into four different creatures, one representing each element.

Windy Ravenfeather: The spiders move ever closer to the elf and the cat.

Fitheach Eun hears the growl and looks down spying the leopard and smiling.

Windy Ravenfeather flies a bit closer, "I am her that took his precious cat from him." she says with a hiss.

Fitheach Eun: "Since you have not told me who you are; you cannot expect me to know your rank."

Windy Ravenfeather locks her eyes on her with such fury reflected within that it makes them take on an unnatural glow. "I am the bringer of death and suffering. You may call me Ravenfeather."

Fitheach Eun faces the Fae calmly: " Ah that is good to know; the Aran would pay you a ransom for the cat's collar; it is a family heirloom."

Windy Ravenfeather grins wickedly knowing full well what the collar is. "An heirloom you say?" laughs.

Fitheach Eun continues to watch the spiders surreptitiously, but trusts that Fiesty has her back."

Fitheach Eun: "Indeed."

Fitheach Eun regards the Fae coldly: " Will you take a ransom for it?"

Windy Ravenfeather crosses her arms in front of herself and looks at the elf with a smirk on her face. "I lost something far more precious to me, when he took the cat. I should take payment for that from YOU perhaps."

Windy Ravenfeather the spiders surround the leopard, keeping it from getting to the elf.

Fitheach Eun: " I was not aware you had any interest in the cat other than pecuniary."

Windy Ravenfeather eyes her spiders, "Friends, this elf here is the reason many of your kin is dead. Would you like some of her flesh?"

Fiesty Lotus: The leopard crouches and watches the many spiders.

Fitheach Eun watches the spider carefully and loosens the bow.

Windy Ravenfeather gives the elf a cold look, as the spiders grow closer. "Stop my pretties. We must send a message back to the Aran."

Fitheach Eun: "I can promise you I will get some of theirs as well."

Windy Ravenfeather palms her dagger and throws is so quickly at the elf you can hear the wind as it passes.

Fitheach Eun stands ready with my sword.

Fitheach Eun: suddenly Fit feels a fire burning in her left arm; looking down she sees blood from light wound.

Fitheach Eun: " Is that the best you can do Fae?"

Fiesty Lotus: the leopard ssprings at the spiders , trying to chase them from Fit.

Windy Ravenfeather grins at seeing the blood on the arm. "Oh, I've done plenty lady elf." laughs.

Windy Ravenfeather stops the laughing and looks at her. "Listen carefully as you must repeat this to your Aran."

Fitheach Eun switches her sword to her right hand and slashes at one of the spiders; all the while feeling the fiery pain in her arm grow greater.

Fitheach Eun grits her teeth: "I am listening Fae."

Windy Ravenfeather smirks, "Tell him, he shall find what he seeks where it all began."

Fitheach Eun: "Where it all began?"

Windy Ravenfeather grins wickedly, "He will know what it means."

Fiesty Lotus: the leopard pricks her ears  and looks to Druid Fit.

Fitheach Eun tries to ignore the growing pain and nods: " I will tell him then."

Fiesty Lotus: the leopard springs to life and bats at the spiders scrambling to get to the Druid

Fitheach Eun: "Of course your ummm pets must allow us to leave if you want it delivered."

Windy Ravenfeather motions to her spiders, "Let them leave, but make sure they DO leave."

Fiesty Lotus: the leopard approaches  through the mass and presents her back to the Druid.

Fitheach Eun scrambles weakly down the cliff face heading back to the boat below.

Windy Ravenfeather flies high above the trees so she can see them leave. Petting one of her spiders, "She will feel your venom burn through her veins. You can rest easy tonight my friend."

Fiesty Lotus: The leopard  relinquishes her shape with pain shooting through her.

Fitheach Eun clambers slowly into the boat hoping Fiesty can handle the sails.

Fiesty Lotus: "I got this Sister."

Fiesty Lotus: "I got a sailor fer a nephew."

Fiesty Lotus unfurls the sails an starts out.
